Today is the date of environmentally friendly products. Whether it is a carry bag, a type of non fluoride toothpaste or a cleaning product, environment friendliness is of the most importance when it comes to deciding what product to choose. These products will not only protect the environment but also its users from the health risks.

Environment friendly products are generally bio degradable and contain less of harmful synthetic chemicals. While cleaning our houses if we end up damaging the nature then the human race will end up leaving a dead planet to its future inhabitants. The toxicity of the chemical cleaning products might not harm us today but it will definitely pose health issues in the long run. And toxic products can become harmful when it comes to children. The selection of the product for cleaning should not only depend upon the nature of the chemical but also its packaging. Bio degradable packaged products should be given preference.

  • Salt: This is generally used to avoid the presence of ants in households. It can remove stains in the house. It can also act as an odor killer. It is a mild cleaner.
  • Lemon juice: This is one of the disinfectants which are acidic in nature. It is excellent as an acidic natural cleanser
  • Ammonia: This is an alkaline based chemical. Ammonia is a form of nitrogen, and is safe because of its bio degradable nature although it is very volatile in nature. It is also one of the popular cleaning agents.
  • Alcohol denatured: This chemical is safe because it works very well on plastics too as a cleaning agent. It works well when all other chemicals fail.
  • Hydrogen Peroxide: This is a cleaner and bleach. It is environment friendly; however it can be irritating to the mucous membrane.
  • Oxalic acid: This is an alkali and is very effective as a rust remover. It can be used in toilets due to its strong acidic nature.
